Types of real estate in Poland

The Civil Code does not explicitly define a single concept of real estate, but defines three types of it. According to the civil law definition, real estate in Poland is divided into:

• land real estate - "real estate is a part of the land constituting a separate property (land), ...",
• building real estate - "... permanently attached buildings ... if, under special provisions, they are separate from the land property.",
• parts of buildings (referred to as residential property) - "... parts of buildings where, under special provisions, they are separate from the property of the property."
